I'm walkin' here

So I'm cruising down the street, as you do, passing a car half on the road and half on the pavement waiting for someone in Blockbuster. A rather 'big-boned' lady, who I took to be drunk, began yelling at a bemused lady in the car in particularly well defined French (although quite different to what they speak in France).

Something to the tune of 'YOU DUMB bleep, MOVE YOUR bleeping CAR, PEOPLE HAVE TO bleeping WALK HERE YOU bleepity bleep bleep bleep'

Everyone else seemed to manage to get by, there was no clear obstruction, but then it hit me... if you take up the WHOLE pavement to walk on then lamposts, bins and bus stops are problem enough.

PostSecret

I'm sure you have noticed Blogger's new 'flag' option for notifying Blogger about objectionable content on Blogger blogs. I am also sure you have noticed the dramtic reduction in BS blogs used for free advertising etc since its implementation. This has allowed the activity of skimming through blogs to be infinitely more enjoyable and vastly increases the chance of finding blogs that are truely interesting and worthy.

I have recently stumbled across one such site and have been deeply touched, amused, saddened and shocked by it's content, how often can you say that? It appears to be quite a big project now and perhaps you may have come across it before, but if you haven't I highly recommend having a look.

Anti-sit in Scotland

Following on from previous post on anti-sit in the US, I have kept my eyes open for examples in Scotland. This is what I found less than 5 minutes walk from my house and I truely don't see the point in it. This road is very long and there are many other shops with similar fronts that seemingly have no need for anti-human devices, but this one apparently does.

The outlet is currently a fancy dress rental shop but clearly the anti-sit is quite old... perhaps the reason lies in the outlet's history?

You would if you could...

How cool would it be to build your own house complete with secret passages and all kinds of other oddities incorporated? If you had enough money that is. Here is someone who over 100 years ago did exactly that... Winchester Mystery House.

I want one !
